Transworld, Inc. Electrical Contractors offers NFPA 70E qualification training and we recently hosted a two-day training in Charleston, South Carolina. NFPA 70E is the standard for electrical safety in the workplace and was recently updated in 2018. Some of the 2018 NFPA 70E updates includes the arc flash risk assessment procedures, a revised task-based table to clarify selection methods for arc flash personal protective equipment (PPE), and the electrical safety program requirements for inspection, job safety planning, and incident investigations on electrical equipment. Understanding NFPA 70E is imperative for compliance with the OSHA mandates regarding electrical safety in the workplace.
OSHA Regulation 29 CFR 1910.332 States:
“…every employer is to provide training to each qualified employee, to be familiar with electrically related safety practices when necessary for their safety.”
During the NFPA 70E training, we cover Chapters 1 and 2 of the NFPA 70E 2018 Standard for Electrical Safety, as well as relevant portions of NFPA 70B and NETA Standards.
Minimize your risk of electrical hazards and let Transworld, Inc. Electrical Contractors assist you with all your NFPA 70E training needs.
